Can you work with already air-dried flowers?
Yes, we can! If you have an old bouquet hanging in your closet from years ago that you would like us to work with, please reach out! We cannot press the air-dried bouquets as the flowers are too brittle to attempt to press. We can do shadowbox frames or epoxy resin work. We are limited to deeper epoxy resin projects so they can fit your dried blooms. We will not accept air-dried bouquets during peak wedding season as fresh flowers take priority.
-
Do you accept last minute bookings?
We will accept last minute bookings whenever we can fit it in. We will still require a $50 non-refundable deposit that will be subtracted from the final balance of your order. There are a few factors that go into if we are able to take a last-minute booking:
- Do we have the space for what you are wanting? We only have a limited number of presses and supplies for preservation. If those are full there is nothing we can do.
- How old is the bouquet? Typically, we request to receive the flowers 1 to 3 days following the event as they preserve the best in that time frame. Any older than 3 days may not survive the preservation process.
- Are you located around the Westman area? If you can get the flowers to us ASAP we are more inclined to take the booking.
We truly want to preserve everyone’s flowers and if we turn down a last minute booking please do not take it to heart. We can provide instructions to air-dry your bouquet and we could work with it at a later date.
The factors listed above is the reason to highly recommend you book as soon as possible. When you book with us, it allows us to prepare the space, supplies, and reserve the time that your bouquet deserved to be preserved.

How do you preserve the flowers?
We preserve flowers with a variety of methods. There are some flowers that preserve really well with one method than others. How we preserve your bouquet will depend on the type of flower, and whether you are wanting framed or resin work done.
If you are wanting your bouquet to hold its shape such as in resin or a shadowbox frame, we will preserve the flowers in silica sand. The flowers will sit in this sand for 2-3 weeks. During this time, all the moisture will get sucked out of your beautiful blooms.
If you are wanting your preserved bouquet to be framed with a flatter appearance, we will use our traditional flower press. During this process we will often deconstruct your bouquet, and press it all individually. This is a time-consuming process, as we change the papers in the press very frequently to ensure they stay dry. The pressing process can take over a month, to ensure your blooms are fully dried.
-
How will the colours in my bouquet changed once is it preserved?
We do our absolute best to retain the colour of flowers during the preserving process. Flowers are a product of nature after all and will often do their own thing. Our different methods of preserving can yield different results such as pressing versus preserving in silica sand. Silica sand will often preserve the natural colour and volume of the flowers better than pressing. Often how fresh the flowers are when we receive them, will determine the colour changes from fresh to preserved. Here are some of the colour changes you can expect:
White -> Cream, beige, or soft browns
Red -> Will deepen in colour to a dark maroon
Orange -> Retain colour good, may deepen into a red/purple tone
Yellow -> Retain original colour really well
Blue -> Retain colour pretty good, sometimes will deepen to a darker shade
Purple -> Retain original colour pretty good, may deepen to a darker shade
Pink -> Will often deepen in colour to a magenta or light purple

Why is it so expensive to get my flowers preserved?
Honestly, we have a hard time charging our customers what we do. It is a constant battle as we want floral preservation to be accessible to as many people as possible but at the same time, we are a small business and need to keep the lights on. Here are the factors that go into pricing our products:
- Preserving flowers is truly a labour of love. From processing the bouquet, to changing papers in presses, to reactivating silica, to flower reconstruction, to colour correction, to creating designs, making design adjustments, pouring resin, completing finishing touches to the resin, so packing up your order there is a TON of time that goes into the final product. We have done an extensive amount of research and practice in getting our skill set to where it is today where we can produce such high quality of work.
- Supplies are EXPENSIVE. With supplies such as resin, molds, frames and so much more we want to use supplies that will produce the best results for your preservation. High quality materials often come at a higher cost to us.
- Floral preservation is an investment into preserving memories that you can cherish for years to come.
-
How long does custom work take?
The length it takes for us to complete your custom work can vary greatly depending on how many orders we have on the go. Expect 3 to 6 months as preserving the flowers can be a lengthy process. If we are working on a custom order for you, feel free to reach out at any time to see where we are at.
-
How can I gift flower preservation to someone?
Yes! This is such a sentimental gift to give to someone. There are a few ways you can go about gifting someone our service.
- If they have already booked with us, a gift card is a great wedding gift! You may purchase it through our website, and we will provide you a unique code. The gift card amount will be subtracted from the final balance of their total order.
- If they have not booked with us yet and you would like this to be a wedding gift, please fill out the booking form and submit the deposit for them. Please inform us if you are choosing the pieces for their bouquet or if they will pick it. We will need to know before their wedding so we know what preservation method to do.
-
Where are you located?
We are located in Brandon, Manitoba. Local drop-off address can be provided when booking. We can potentially arrange pickup within the Westman area, some additional cost may apply.
-
Can I ship my bouquet if I’m not from Manitoba?
Yes, we can accept bouquets from all around Canada. We will not send you anything for shipment, and shipping to us is fully your responsibility. We will charge an additional amount for the cost of shipping your preserved bouquet back to you.
Since we need your bouquet within 1-3 days of your wedding, please ship it express. Within the shipment box, please include a note with your name on it, as well as your phone number.
Flowers should be shipped quickly in a cool and safe environment. Wrap ONLY the stems in a wet towel and then place the wet stems and towel in a plastic bag to prevent the box from getting wet. Make sure to add packing peanuts or crumbled paper to fill the empty space so the bouquet doesn’t get tossed around. We will notify you when we receive the flowers in the mail.
***If the flowers don’t come in workable condition, we will not proceed***

How to I care for my preserved piece?
I want to start answering this question by pointing out everything you own ages and will change with time. Your preserved flowers are no different. Over time your preserved flowers may lose their original vibrant colours, or your resin may yellow slightly over time. With the flowers changing slightly over time, we are working with nature after all, and it will do its thing even if it the flowers are completely dead. There are things you can do to care for your preserved piece to avoid aging:
- Keep it out of direct sunlight! If you piece is in direct sunlight it can discolour the flowers or yellow the resin much faster.
- Do not place in the bathroom or anywhere that has steam or moisture. Your piece will be happiest in a dry environment.
- Avoid extreme heat. I am guilty of bringing one of our epoxy resin bookmarks to the beach and leaving it in the sun. When I picked up the bookmark a while later it was very malleable.
- To clean, use a moist microfiber cloth.
