About Us
The story of Wilted Wonders unofficially began in 2020 when Sarah got married. Not realizing how sentimental she would feel watching her flowers wilt, she scrambled to find a floral preservationist in the Westman area to no avail and eventually settled on doing it herself. After preserving her wedding bouquet, and other sentimental bouquets that followed she realized her love for the art of flower preservation.
In 2022 we began discussing the potential for a business preserving flowers to fill the void of this service in Brandon and surrounding area. Sarah, armed with some casual experience in preservation; and Katie, armed with a business degree and a can-do attitude, embarked on the journey of bringing this business public. After years of trial and error, endless research, long nights and early mornings and a true passion for what we do, we bring the experience and care needed to meet all your floral preservation needs.
Meet our Team:
Hey, I'm Katie! Realistically most of my time is spent on Wilted Wonders but my life outside of this business consists of hanging out with my fiance, travelling, going for walks with my dogs, reading, working out, and working a part time serving job. My partner, Keiman and I got engaged in July 2025, and then moved to Winnipeg the following month. Since settling in we have began to plan our wedding and oh boy, it has given me a new appreciation for for how much planning, coordination, and care go into a wedding day. For me, this puts even more meaning behind floral preservation. To be able to turn such an important part of your day into artwork that you can cherish for years is why I do this. I love pulling inspirations from every bouquet I preserve and thinking about the love story behind the blooms.
My role in Wilted Wonders consists of daily operations (processing, pouring resin, press changes, etc), customer relations, marketing, bookkeeping, and assisting with framing. I love to connect with people through a shared love of flowers. I hope to one day solely be pursuing Wilted Wonders work full time, to preserve as many sentimental bouquets as possible.
Hi! I am Sarah. When I'm not working on Wilted Wonders you can find me chasing my toddler around, working as a nurse mentor on our local surgery wards, hanging out with my husband Jon, watching trash TV, walking my dog or building lego. I have an affinity for dry humour and staying far too busy.
My role in Wilted Wonders has shifted in the last year or so as my free time has dwindled while I try to balance everything while figuring out motherhood. I like to call myself more of an employee now as I can't compare the work I contribute to the blood, sweat and tears Katie pours into our business day in and day out. My primary role in Wilted Wonders is as our frame design artist. I also do a bit of social media planning and content, assist in markets, floral preservationist and customer relations.
