What Preserving a Wedding Bouquet Means to Me?
Share
Our first blog post and I thought this topic would be a good one to start off with. Sarah and I plan on making blog posts when we have the time to write. I don’t want to make any promises of posting once a week as we both juggle very busy schedules. We want to start to share the process behind this small business and be able to connect with our customers and the rest of the floral preservation community :)
Preserving wedding flowers holds a very special place in my heart. It gives me such joy to make something beautiful that will last forever for our brides. The bouquet in the wedding is such a large part of your big day. It is in most of the pictures, and it is usually with you as you walk down the aisle. When we preserve wedding flowers it feels like we are preserving the memories of the day.
Sarah and I have spent many hours trying to perfect our craft. We take pride in our work and believe knowledge and practice can produce the best results. So far, we have attempted 3 different methods of pressing flowers, numerous different resin brands, and new resin molds. There has been SO MUCH trial and error to get where we are today. We want to be able to have our pieces look as perfect as handmade can be, so we invest a lot of time into improving our skills.
One of my favourite feelings is when we send the client a picture of the finished piece and they absolutely love it. Being able to provide a service that makes people so happy is super rewarding.
